Our delightful self-catering cottage is nestled in tranquil Scottish countryside making it an ideal retreat for those wanting a peaceful break from hectic  modern life but not wanting to give up their home comforts.

Our location also makes it a wonderful base from which to explore the varied environments of the Aberdeenshire and Angus areas: from the moutainous Cairngorms to the impressively long sandy beaches.

You and your furry friend can explore the picturesque rural landscape, along miles of woodland trails, alongside tumbling rivers, around serene lochs, or paddling (or even swimming) in the North Sea.

There is so much just waiting to be discovered.

After a day of adventure you can return to the comfort of the cottage where you can unwind in the retro living room and watch a film, enjoy a homecooked meal, or simply sit out on the porch with a glass of something refreshing (or mug of something hot), enjoying the wildlife visitors such deer, red squirrel, and numerous native birds.

We take great pride in just how dog-friendly ourselves and the self-catering cottage are - going as far as to say we are positively dog-welcoming.  The cottage has its own enclosed garden for those doggy essentials, and a 3 acre wildflower meadow for stretching those legs if they're not too tired from a day of adventuring.  When just relaxing in the cottage dogs are allowed on the sofa (we provide the covers), and will sometimes get a visit from their host, ThistleDoodleJack, or the free range hens.
